Lighten, Albert Albert Lighten with his wife Violet and sons Albert and George.
Albert enlisted in Claremont Tasmania. He left a widow, Violet who lived in Hobart Tasmania. Albert had emigrated to Australia around 1909. He met Violet in Sydney where they married. She was from Hobart and they returned there to live. They had two sons, Albert, and George and she was pregnant with another son, Ernest, when he answered the call from the Motherland. He was a Sapper with the Australian Engineers 15th Field Coy.Service No: 6757. He is commemorated on the war memorial in St Clement's church, West Thurrock,
