WW1
LITTLECHILD, ALGY CYRIL
Military Medal During operations by 15th Infantry Brigade on the MORLANCOURT front, South West of ALBERT, on 4th July 1918 Private MORRIS displayed great courage and devotion to duty. In the attack his dugout was blown in, but he, with others, notwithstanding the heavy shell fire, soon established communication to the rear. Though much shaken, he remained on duty continuously for 48 hours during a very trying period, and under heavy shell fire. he helped materially in the maintenance of communication to the rear and forward, all the time at great personal risk. His example throughout was excellent.'Source: 'Commonwealth Gazette' No. 23 Date: 12 February 1919
