Locke, Sidney Granville
Born 5th June 1895 Tasman Tasmania the son of Thomas Francis and Elsie Jane Elizabeth Locke (nee Kingston) he embarked 5th January 1916 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.
He died 20th September 1917 in Belgium from wounds received in the field and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Mr and Mrs Locke and family heartily thank the friends who kindly donated towards the Memorial Board placed in the Premaydena School to their late son Sidney Granville Locke, Signaller, 12th Batt A.I.F.
