Studio portrait of 2478 Private (Pte) Leslie Wilfred Long, 7th Reinforcements, 12th Battalion, of Perth, Tas. Pte Long enlisted on 8 July 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Persia in Melbourne on 10 August 1915. He was serving with the 52nd Battalion when he was killed in action at Broodseinde Ridge on 16 October 1917
