Lovett William De Faye

 

 

Born Ballarat Victoria the son of William Lovett but was an orchardist at Freshwater Point Tamar Valley when he enlisted, he embarked Melbourne 27th September 1915 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.  On arrival in Egypt he transferred to the 52nd Battalion and proceeded to France.

Lance Corporal Lovett was killed in action 3rd September 1916 at Moquet Farm in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
