Luckhurst Alfred George

Born 13^th May 1887 Launceston Tasmania the son of George Arthur and Amelia Luckhurst (nee Guy) a plumber he enlisted and embarked Melbourne 15^th September 1915 on board SS Makarini with the 8^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 19^th July 1916 and is commemorated in the VC Corner Australian Cemetery and Memorial, Fromelles, Lille, Nord Pas de Calais, France
