Luckhurst Alfred George

 

Born 13th May 1887 Launceston Tasmania the son of George Arthur and Amelia Luckhurst (nee Guy) a plumber he enlisted and embarked Melbourne 15th September 1915 on board SS Makarini with the 8th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 19th July 1916 and is commemorated in the VC Corner Australian Cemetery and Memorial, Fromelles, Lille, Nord Pas de Calais, France
