Malkin Henry Edward
Born 19th February 1888 Fingal Tasmania to George William and Mary Anne Malkin (nee White) a labourer who enlisted Liverpool New South Wales and departed Brisbane 16th August 1915 on board “HMAT Kyarra” with the 9th Infantry Battalion. He was with the 49th Battalion and one of five people killed by a shell at Passchendaele 12th October 1917 and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
