Martin, George Alfred

 

Born 1895 Campbell Town Tasmania to George and Mary Angelina Martin (nee Nailer) a labourer from Forester’s Settlement who departed Melbourne 17th April 1915 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 15th Infantry Battalion

He was wounded on the Gallipoli Peninsula and died 8th August 1915.  He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
