Marvell, William Clarence
Born Launceston Tasmania to George Henry and Elizabeth Ann Marvell (nee Ayres) he and his brother Charles Roy Marvell departed Hobart 8th August 1916 on board “HMAT Ballarat” with the 40th Infantry Battalion. He was killed in action 7th June 1917 and commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
His brother Pte Charles Roy Marvell was also killed in action 22nd June 1917
