Marvell, William Clarence

Born Launceston Tasmania to George Henry and Elizabeth Ann Marvell (nee Ayres) he and his brother Charles Roy Marvell departed Hobart 8^th August 1916 on board “HMAT Ballarat” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 7^th June 1917 and commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.

His brother Pte Charles Roy Marvell was also killed in action 22^nd June 1917
