MASON, REGINALD ERNEST
Studio portrait of 2483 Private (Pte) Reginald Ernest Mason, 7th Reinforcements, 12th Battalion, of Leith, Tas. Pte Mason enlisted on 9 July 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Persia in Melbourne on 10 August 1915. He was serving with the 52nd Battalion when he was killed in action at Mouquet Farm, in the Pozieres area, on 4 September 1916. His death is commemorated at the Villers Bretonneux Memorial in France
