Matthews, Charles George
Born 1898 Port Frederick Tasmania the son of George Charles and Susan Matthews (nee Stevens) a farmer from South Arm Tasmania he embarked Melbourne 5th October 1918 on board “HMAT Zealandic” with the 1 to 3 (WA) and (TAS) Reinforcements. He was serving with the 12th Battalion when he died 29th January 1919 in England and was buried in the Sutton Veny (St John) Churchyard, United Kingdom. |
