Maxfield, Charles Ernest
Born 17th October 1876 New Norfolk Tasmania the son of James and Lucy Maxfield (nee Marriott) and married to Violet Emmaline Biggins a mattress maker he embarked Fremantle 19th April 1915 on board “HMAT Argyllshire” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.
He died 10th August 1915 of heart failure on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated in the Shell Green Cemetery, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey
MAXFIELD.-Died In action at the Dardandles on August 10, 1915, Private C. E. Maxfield, beloved husband of Violet Maxfield Cascades, In the 38th year of age He did his duty. Melbourne, Sydney, and Launceston papers. please copy.
