McCulloch, Arthur Julius Stewart

 

 

 

Born 2nd April 1893 Ulverstone Tasmania the son of George and Elizabeth McCulloch (nee Stratton) a blacksmith he embarked Hobart 20th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

He spend two years in the Ulverstone Military Band.

 

He was killed in action 23rd July 1916 at Pozieres France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Villers-Bretonneux Area, France.

 

His brother Pte William Lindsay McCulloch also died at Pozieres and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Villers-Bretonneux Area, France.
