McDonald, Findley Norman

 

Born Mansfield Victoria married to Nellie Tait McDonald a blacksmith he embarked Melbourne 14th February 1917 on board “RMS Orontes” with the 15th Machine Gun Company

 

He served for about 18 months with the 4th Contingent in the Boer War

 

He was killed in action 16th October 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
