McDougall, Wallace Carlyle
Born 29th December 1892 Southport Tasmania the son of John Henry and Susannah Ann McDougall (nee Cate) an engine driver he embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion. He was killed in action 7th June 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in the Messines Ridge British Cemetery, Belgium. McDOUGALL. -Killed in action in France on June 7, 1917, Wallace Carlyle McDougall, dearly loved youngest son of Annie and the late John McDougall, of Recherche, in the 24th year of his age. For King and Country and those he loved.
