McGinley, Walter

Born Hobart Tasmania the son of James and Amy Louisa McGinley (nee Cunningham) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 16^th October 1915 on board “HMAT Port Lincoln” with the 15^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 11^th April 1917 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux

His brother Pte William Henry McGinley was killed in action 8^th October 1917 and is commemorated in the Tyne Cot Cemetery Belgium
