McInnes, Samuel Alexander

Born Clunes Victoria the son of Neil McInnes of Beech Forest Victoria a commission agent, he enlisted and embarked Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion and the rank of Lieutenant.

He died instantly 1^st February 1917 in France when he was struck by a small shell and is commemorated in the Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres, Lille, France
