McMahon, James Ambrose
Born Red Hills Deloraine Tasmania the son of John and Mary McMahon a farm labourer he enlisted Claremont Tasmania and embarked Melbourne 21st October 1916 on board “HMAT Port Melbourne” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.
He was killed in action 2nd October 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Flanders, Belgium
