McMahon, James Ambrose

Born Red Hills Deloraine Tasmania the son of John and Mary McMahon a farm labourer he enlisted Claremont Tasmania and embarked Melbourne 21^st October 1916 on board “HMAT Port Melbourne” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 2^nd October 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Flanders, Belgium
