McVan, Allan
Born 1897 Lanarkshire Scotland the son of John and Elizabeth Mitchell McVan (nee Turner) a sailor who listed his address as c/- George Batton Dunalley Tasmania he embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.
He was killed in action 31st August 1918 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
