McVan, Allan

Born 1897 Lanarkshire Scotland the son of John and Elizabeth Mitchell McVan (nee Turner) a sailor who listed his address as c/- George Batton Dunalley Tasmania he embarked Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 31^st August 1918 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
