Mclaren Leslie Norman
Born 23rd February 1889 Hobart Tasmania to William John and Mary Anne McLaren (nee Nabbs) a labourer who embarked Melbourne 15th September 1915 on board S.S.Makarina with the 8th Infantry Battalion. Was hit by a shell in the attack on St. Martin’s Wood 23rd August 1918 and killed instantly. He is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
