Mills, Kenneth Douglas

Born 23^rd December 1898 Hobart Tasmania the son of Michael Alfred and Ellen Louisa Mills (nee Jackson) a grocer’s assistant he embarked Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He had been rejected three times prior to enlistment because of his age.

He was serving with the 49^th Battalion when he was killed in action 10^th April 1918 in France and is commemorated in the La Neuville Communal Cemetery, Corbie, Corbie Albert Area, France

He was 19 when he died.
