Mills, Kenneth Douglas
Born 23rd December 1898 Hobart Tasmania the son of Michael Alfred and Ellen Louisa Mills (nee Jackson) a grocer’s assistant he embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.
He had been rejected three times prior to enlistment because of his age.
He was serving with the 49th Battalion when he was killed in action 10th April 1918 in France and is commemorated in the La Neuville Communal Cemetery, Corbie, Corbie Albert Area, France
He was 19 when he died.
