Moran, Davitt James

 

Born 15th September 1887 Westbury Tasmania to James and Ellen Moran (Nee Cuff) a farmer who departed Hobart 1st. July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.

 On the 13th October 1917 he was appointed Lance Corporal and one week later he was killed in action 20th October 1917 and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
