Born Mooroopna Victoria but enlisted Queenstown Tasmania married with wife and 6 children living at Burnie Tasmania, a miner he embarked Sydney 16th October 1918 on board “HMAT Malta” with the General Service Reinforcements. He died 24th November 1918 from broncho pneumonia on board S S Osterley at sea (Suez Canal) and is commemorated in the Suez War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
