Morris, John Cyril Ashton

Born 20^th March 1896 Launceston Tasmania to Enoch and Frances Elizabeth Morris (nee Flynn) an apprentice cabinetmaker who embarked Brisbane 29^th June 1915 on board “HMAT Aeneas” with the 26^th Battalion.

He was wounded on the Gallipoli Peninsula and died 22^nd September 1915 on board the hospital ship “Dunluce Castle” and was buried at sea. He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
