Muldoon Francis James

 

 

Born 6th July 1895 Lefroy Tasmania to William and Rose Elizabeth Muldoon (nee Holmes). He departed Melbourne on the HMAT Ascanius 10th November 1915 serving with the 29th Infantry Battalion.

He was acting as stretcher bearer near Polygon Wood and was last seen leading a wounded soldier to the dressing station under heavy fire.  He was never seen again and his body was not recovered.  He was presumed killed in action 26th. September 1917.
