Born 18th February 1895 Washington United States of America the son of Aan de Weduro Meezan (mother) of Rotterdam a mariner he enlisted Hobart Tasmania and embarked Melbourne 22nd December 1917 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 29th Infantry Battalion
He was killed in action 29th July 1918 in France and is commemorated on the Mericourt-L'Abbe Communal Cemetery Extension, Mericourt-L'Abbe, Peronne, France
