Studio portrait of 4384 Private (Pte) Guilford Charles Nobes, 15th Battalion, of Moorina, Tas. Pte Nobes enlisted on 14 August 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Kyarra on 5 January 1916. On 21 December 1916 he was killed in action at Bernafay Wood in the Somme area of France
