O'Neal, John Tasman Andrew

 

Born Uxbridge Tasmania the son of John and Kathleen O’Neal a 22 year old labourer he embarked Melbourne 29th March 1916 with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was serving with the 52nd Battalion when he was killed in action 26th January 1917 and like others with no known grave is commemorated on the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France

 

His brother 5159 Pte Henry Alexander O'NEAL, 52nd Bn, returned to Australia 13 February 1917.
