O'Neill, Stanley Howard

 

 

Born 29th October 1899 Ulverstone Tasmania to James Howard and Margaret O’Neill (nee Thomas) a sailor who embarked Melbourne 20th October 1916 on board “HMAT Port Lincoln” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed instantly 23rd August 1918 by a bullet to the head while he was at his machine gun and is commemorated in the Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France.

 He was 18 years old.
