Oldham, Thomas Francis

Born Port Pirie South Australia the son of Thomas Henry and Evelyn Oldham (nee Hooper) a teller living with his parents in Queenstown Tasmania he embarked Melbourne 30^th September 1916 on board “HMAT Palermo with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.  He arrived in France on the 22^nd December1916.

He received a gunshot wound to the abdomen at Lagnicourt France during the battle of Arras on the 14^th April 1917 and died 16^th April 1917 at the 3^rd Australian Casualty Clearing Station.   He was buried in the Grevillers British Cemetery, Grevillers, Picardie, France
