Oldham, Thomas Francis

 

Born Port Pirie South Australia the son of Thomas Henry and Evelyn Oldham (nee Hooper) a teller living with his parents in Queenstown Tasmania he embarked Melbourne 30th September 1916 on board “HMAT Palermo with the 12th Infantry Battalion.  He arrived in France on the 22nd December1916.

 

He received a gunshot wound to the abdomen at Lagnicourt France during the battle of Arras on the 14th April 1917 and died 16th April 1917 at the 3rd Australian Casualty Clearing Station.   He was buried in the Grevillers British Cemetery, Grevillers, Picardie, France
