Parkes, Arthur Leslie

Born 25^th July 1890 Plattsburg, New South Wales, Australia the son of William Francis and Emily Jane Parkes (nee Bennetts) and married to Lilian Anne Davis a blacksmith he embarked Melbourne 21^st October 1916 on board “HMAT Port Melbourne” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He died 5^th February 1919 in England from acute Bronchitis and was buried in the Sutton Veny (St John) Churchyard, Sutton Veny, Wiltshire
