Parry Griffith Marshall
Honour Board RSL St Helens Born 25th July 1892 Poimena Tasmania to Hugh and Ellen Parry (nee McDermot) a miner who enlisted 25th February 1915 with the 7th Field Ambulance and contracted enteric fever overseas and was returned to Australia for three months recovery. He then embarked Melbourne 30th September 1916 on board “HMAT Suffolk” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. Cpl Parry was killed in action 15th April 1917 at Lagnicourt France and is commemorated on the Queant Road Cemetery, Buissy, France
