Paton, Douglas McMillan
Born 1891 Hobart Tasmania to Alexander and Agnes Paton (nee Spaven) and married to Juliet Pearl Gordon, a farmer he departed Melbourne 27th September 1915 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 26th Infantry Battalion. He died 29th October 1917 in the 3rd Canadian Casualty Clearing Station from gunshot wounds to the left shoulder and a shattered jaw. He was buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium.
