Patterson, Herbert Richard

 

Born Hobart Tasmania the son of John Edward and Winifred Mary Patterson a seaman/fireman he enlisted Seymour Victoria and embarked Melbourne 18th September 1916 on board “HMAT Karroo” with the 2nd Pioneer Battalion.

 

He died 22nd December 1917 at the 2nd Australian Casualty Clearing Station from a gunhot wound in the right thigh and was buried in the Trois Arbres Cemetery, Steenwerck, Nord, France.
