Peart, Wilfred Ernest
Born Glen Innes New South Wales but living and working as a miner in Tasmania he embarked Melbourne 22nd December 1914 on “HMAT Themistocles” with the 12th Infantry Battalion He was admitted to the 26th General Hospital Etaples with a gunshot wound to the leg on the 22nd August 1916. His condition deteriorated and on 1st September 1916 he was transferred to the hospital ship “Antwerpen” for England. He was admitted to the North General Hospital Lincolnshire but died on the 12th November 1916. He was buried in the Lincoln (Newport) Cemetery, United Kingdom.
