Peasnell, James Henry
Born Ballarat Victoria the son of Edward George and Annie Peasnell but working at Mt Lyell Mining Company when he enlisted, he embarked Hobart 20th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. At Passchendaele he received severe gunshot wounds to the chest and was carried to the 10th Casualty Clearing Station where he died 17th October 1917. He was buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium.
