Pedder, Frank Ernest

 

 

 

Born 17th July 1892 Bellerive Tasmania the son of Walter Edward and Elizabeth Staines Pedder (nee Taylor) a deck hand he embarked Hobart Tasmania 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 7th June 1917 at Messines (previously reported missing) and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Flanders, Belgium
