Pegler, William (Snowy)

Born Uxbridge Tasmania the son of Magaret Kate Pegler a farmer he embarked Melbourne 6^th December 1916 on board “HMAT Orsova” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

A Court of Enquiry found he was killed in action 4^th October 1917 in Belgium after being listed as wounded and missing. He is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
