Pelham, Frederick Henry

 

 

A brush maker living at 87 Molle Street Hobart Tasmania he embarked Melbourne 5th January 1916 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 23rd August 1918 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Villers-Bretonneux Area, France

Mr. D. Pelham, of Molle Street has received official information from the military authorities that his son, Private Frederick Henry Pelham, has been reported killed in action in France on August 23 after over three years on active service. Private Pelham was gassed in June, 1916 was severely wounded in October, 1917, and again gassed in May of this year. He belonged to the famous 12th Battalion.
