Perkins Walter Delwyn

He was born 1890 Oatlands Tasmania to Thomas Headley and Emily Perkins (nee Dawson) a stock and station agent who enlisted 27^th August 1914 in New South Wales and embarked Sydney 20^th October 1914 on board “HMAT Star of Victoria” with the 1^st Light Horse Regiment and the rank of Lance Corporal.

Trooper Perkins died 27^th March 1915 at the Heliopolis Hospital from pneumonia and is commemorated in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
