Petterd, Harry Augustus

 

 

 

Born 12 January 1898 Campbell Street Hobart Tasmania to James Augustus and Elizabeth Anne Petterd (nee Miles) he was a carpenter when he enlisted.  He departed Melbourne on HMAT Medic 20th May 1916 with the 23rd. Howitzer Brigade

Official word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. James Petterd, of Alberton road, Moonah, that their youngest son, Driver Harry Augustus Petterd, of the 27th Battery F.A., died of wounds at the Third Lancashire Field Ambulance, France, on October 22, after two years and nine months' service.
