Pickett, John Victor

Born 11^th November 1890 Campbell Town Tasmania to John Francis James and Margaret Elizabeth Pickett (nee Hoodless) a labourer who embarked Hobart 20^th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

 Sgt Pickett was killed in action 7^th August 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
