Porter George Herbert

Born 28^th January 1883 Launceston Tasmania to William Henry and Matilda Agnes Porter (nee Maher) a driver who embarked 25^th September 1916 on board “HMAT Devon” with the New Zealand Rifle Brigade 11^th Reinforcements 2^nd Battalion

He was killed in action 17^th June 1916 at the Battle of Messines and was buried in the Messines Ridge (New Zealand) Memorial, Messines Ridge British Cemetery, Belgium
