Porter Norman James

Born 1892 Hamilton Victoria the son of James Richard and Louisa Porter (nee Sturgess) married to Elizabeth Moore Stipek he enlisted Pontville Tasmania a miner he embarked Melbourne 22^nd December 1914 on board “HMAT Themistocles” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 7^th August 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula (previously reported missing) and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Cemetery, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey.
