Pritchard, Huon Mark

Private Huon Mark Pritchard

 

 

Born 1890 Geeveston Tasmania the son of Mark and Elizabeth Pritchard a bushman he embarked Melbourne 29th March 1916 on board RMS Orontes with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was serving with the 52nd Infantry Battalion when he was killed in action 4th September 1916 in France and is commemorated on the  Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France

PRITCHARD. -Officially reported killed in action in France September 4, 1916 (previously reported missing), Private Huon Mark Pritchard, third eldest son of the   late Mark and Elizabeth Pritchard, of  Geeveston, aged 25 years.
