Ransley, George Arthur

Born 19^th November 1885 Ellendale Tasmania the son of Arthur and Joanna Ransley (nee Scanlon) a farmer from Fentonbury Tasmania he embarked Melbourne 5^th January 1916 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 26^th Infantry Battalion.  

He died 28^th November 1916 in hospital at Cambrai whilst a prisoner of war and is commemorated in the Porte-de-Paris Cemetery, Cambrai, Nord Pas de Calais, France
