Rex, Roy Hugh

 

Born Hobart Tasmania the son of Ada Mary Lawrence Rex a 23 year old motor driver he enlisted Moore Park New South Wales and embarked Melbourne 22nd December 1916 on board “HMAT Persic” with the Auxiliary Mechanical Transport Company.

 

He was serving with the 6th M T Company Australian Army Service Corps when he was killed in action 28th October 1916 and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
