Rex, Percy Hugh

Born 21^st February 1880 Hobart Tasmania to George Woodcock and Selina Jane Rex (nee Gracie) a miner and prospector who embarked Melbourne 22^nd December 1914 on board “HMAT Ceramic” with the 15^th Infantry Battalion.

He was mortally wounded 20^th May 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and died 24^th May 1915 on the hospital ship “Galeka” and was buried on Lemnos Island. He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
