Ribbon Charles

 

 

Born 1889 Port Cygnet Tasmania the son of John and Margaret Ribbon (nee Dillon) a miner he enlisted and embarked New Zealand with the 2nd Battalion 6th Reinforcements

 

He was serving with the Machine Gun Squadron Mounted Rifle Brigade when he died 27th March 1917 in Palestine from wounds received in the field and was buried in the Deir El Belah War Cemetery, Deir El Belah, Israel
