Ricketts Harold Stanley
Born 16th December 1893 Waratah Tasmania the son of Edward and Florence Ricketts (nee Vaughan) he embarked on board “HMAT Hymettus” on 17th September 1915 with the 5th Light Horse Regiment.
At the time of his enlistment he was living at the Bay View Hotel in Swansea, a hotel owned by his father Edward.
He was serving with the 13th Brigade Australian Field Artillery when he was killed in action 15 October 1917 during a heavy shell bombardment in Belgium and is commemorated in the Hooge Crater Cemetery in Belgium.
